A sworn translation is an official translation, in which the Sworn Translator certifies the fidelity of the translation; therefore it includes the translator's certification, stamp and signature. A sworn translation has legal validity to be presented before any public or private organism (in Spain). The only translators with the authority to certify their translations in Spain are Sworn Translators-Interpreters accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MAEC).
